We are just a short drive from the famous Fairlie Bakehouse, Tekapo Observatory, Tekapo Hot Pools, ski fields, great places for fishing, hunting, and exploring Mount Cook. As well as Christchurch City and the many beaches around Dunedin. This central location means you can visit a lot of different places during your time here!
Attractions
Caroline Bay has been rated one of the top 10 beaches in New Zealand, there are little blue penguins on the beach that you can see at night while walking along the boardwalk, as well as some seals that rest on the rocks at South Beach. There is a great walk to the Lighthouse, as well as around the Geraldine Forest and the Waimate Hills where you can see the wallabies. There is also Horse trekking in Peel Forest as well as farm tours in Geraldine.

Timaru also has some great food options from cafes such as Harlau House Café, Arthur Street Kitchen and Replenish whose menu caters to vegan and all dietary requirements, sourcing seasonal local produce. There are also great restaurant options with Oxford, Sukhothai, Street Food Kitchen and Saikou. As well as the local farmers market that runs on a Saturday morning with small local businesses selling food and other products.
